Andrew
Polowy, Sr. started Polowy Stone Suppliers in 1963 on his dairy farm in Allamuchy,
New Jersey. With one small truck and the help his two sons Ed and Steve Polowy,
Andrew managed to build his own supply yard on a portion of the original dairy
farm in 1970. With just labor and a few small trucks loading and delivering stone
wasn’t easy at this time. In 1989, Andrew decided to build what is now Polowy
Stone, Mason, and Landscape Supply in Lafayette, New Jersey where he sold stone
and mason supplies until he later retired 2002. While Andrew was busy with the
mason supply yard, Ed and Steve weren’t just sitting around! Their fleet of trucks
grew from two tri-axle dump trucks in 1989 to a fleet of five tri-axle dump trucks
and five flat bed tractor-trailers throughout the 90’s. Today with the help of
Ed’s two sons Craig and Chris, they continue to supply landscape and building
stone, mason supplies, and much more!
